BARI, DIU sign MoU to advance agri research, technology transfer & innovation

Daffodil International University (DIU) and Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aiming to advance agricultural research, technology transfer, and innovation on July 02 at the conference room of the university.

Dr. Mohammed Nadir Bin Ali, registrar, DIU and Dr Debasish Sarker, director general of BARI signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions, according to a press release issued on July 4.

Professor S M Mahabub Ul Haque Mazumder, acting vice chancellor, Prof Md Bellal Hossain, dean, Faculty of Health and Life Science, Professor M A Rahim, head of the Department of Agricultural Science of DIU and Dr Ferdousy Islam, director (Service & Supply), Ashraf Uddin Ahmed, chief scientific officer (Training & Communication wing) of  BARI  along with other high officials of both institutions were present at the MoU Signing Ceremony.

Under this MoU, Department of Agricultural Science of Daffodil International University will collaborate closely with BARI to provide post-harvest technology development, promotion of BARI technology, new agricultural varieties, technologies, and information to farmers, extension workers, and researchers.

This collaboration also offers DIU graduates opportunities for internships and research.
