BASIS gets ISO certificate from BSTI

Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) received the ISO certificate from the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) on Wednesday.

Vice President (Admin) of BASIS Abu Daud Khan received the certificate from Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun at a programme held at the conference room of the Ministry of Industries in Dhaka.

State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder and Secretary of the Ministry of Industries Zakia Sultana were present at the event as special guests.

The certification was awarded to BASIS in recognition of its commitment to maintaining high standards of quality management systems and assisting members of BASIS in expanding their businesses at home and abroad and building their capacity through achieving business excellence, quality improvement, networking and facilitating the availability of necessary information.

While expressing his gratitude, Abu Daud Khan said that it is a testament to the organisation's commitment to ensuring the highest level of quality in all aspects of its management and operations.

He said, "This certification demonstrates our commitment to providing our members with the highest quality of services and support.

"The certification will further strengthen BASIS's position as a leading trade body in the software and IT-enabled service industry in Bangladesh."
