A special shuttle bus service will be available for the visitors of 'BASIS SoftExpo 2023 which will begin on February 23.
Speaker of the Parliament Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury is expected to inaugurate the four-day exhibition at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal of Dhaka, said a press statement.
Organisers said buses will depart from Kuril every 15 minutes for the exhibition centre from 8 am to 10 pm while the return transport will leave the venue for Kuril every 15 minutes from 9 am to 11 pm. Visitors can visit and return from the exhibition centre by these buses free of cost.
Apart from the shuttle bus, there will be special discount facilities for those who visit the BASIS SoftExpo from different places in the capital through the ride-sharing service ‘Pathao’.
The world is at the threshold of the 4th Industrial Revolution and Bangladesh also needs to go ahead by keeping pace with the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality and Metaverse. In keeping consistency with the matter, the slogan ‘Welcome to the Smartverse’ has been selected for the fair this year.
At the fair, different programmes will be held to take new initiatives along with expanding business. Over 800 high officials of corporate institutions are expected to attend the event.
Besides, grand inaugural and closing ceremonies, there will be special programmes including a ministerial conference, ambassadors’ night, IT job fair and career camp, B2B matchmaking session, freelancing conference, startup conference, developers’ conference, women in IT programme and Japan Day. Besides, 20 seminars and technical sessions will be held with the participation of high officials of the public and private sectors. Besides, there will be a concert, gaming corner, business lounge and food court.
Over three lakh people including public and private policymakers, about 200 national and international speakers, high officials of public and private institutions, IT experts, IT businessmen of different countries, foreign delegates, IT users from home and abroad and interested youths are expected to attend the expo.
