BRAC Bank Limited has won four exclusive awards from VISA International Limited.
The bank was awarded ‘Excellence in POS Acquiring Business’ for 4th consecutive time, ‘Excellence in Consumer Credit Cards Business’ for 3rd consecutive time, ‘Excellence in E-commerce Issuing Business’ for 2nd consecutive time, and ‘Excellence in Commercial Cards Business’ for 2nd consecutive time at the award ceremony held at Sheraton Dhaka on June 23.
BRAC Bank’s Head of Retail Banking Md Mahiul Islam received the awards on behalf of the bank. a press release said on Tuesday.
VISA International Limited awarded its partners and affiliates based on the payment volumes and success in different categories each year.
This year, VISA arranged ‘VISA Leadership Conclave 2022’ to recognise partner organizations based on the business performance for July 2020 to March 2022.
Mahiul said, “This prestigious recognition from VISA for consecutive years shows our business strength in the e-commerce and cards industry. Our attractive card propositions and extensive acquiring presence win the trust and loyalty of the customers.”

Payment Systems Department Executive Director Md Khurshid Alam, and Payment Systems Department of Bangladesh Bank Director Md Mezbaul Haque, VISA Group Country Manager India & South Asia Sandeep Ghosh, were present at the ceremony.
Head of Credit Cards Joarder Tanvir Faisal, Head of Merchant Acquiring Khairuddin Ahmed, Head of Payments and Partnership Business Md Rashedul Hasan Stalin, BRAC Bank Head of Retail Deposit and NFB Sarah Anam, also attended the ceremony.
