BRACU calls for papers for Int’l Conf on Language Metamorphosis

The BRAC Institute of Languages (BIL) at BRAC University (BRACU) is calling for papers for the upcoming International Conference on Language Metamorphosis: Implications for Language Education in Decolonial Contexts (LMLEDC).

The conference is scheduled to take place at the university from November 28 to November 30, according to a press release.

The conference will unite experts to discuss foreign language education in postcolonial contexts, covering topics such as multilingual education, language policy, and decolonial education and language learning.

The abstract submission deadline is July 15. To submit an abstract, participants are invited to visit this link — https://www.bracu.ac.bd/academics/institutes-and-schools/brac-institute-languages/international-conference-language.

The LMLEDC conference invites researchers, educators, and practitioners to submit papers that investigate the transformative shifts in language education within decolonial contexts and generate discourses on how these changes affect teaching and learning practices globally.

Notable keynote speakers will include Professor Suresh Canagarajah, Evan Pugh University Professor of Applied Linguistics, English, and Asian Studies at Pennsylvania State University, USA; Professor Stephen May, School of Māori and Indigenous Education, Faculty of Education and Social Work at the University of Auckland, New Zealand; and Professor Sender Dovchin, Senior Principal Research Fellow at Curtin University, Australia.
