Md Habib Ullah Dawn has been elected uncontested the president of Bangladesh Reconditioned Vehicles Importers and Dealers Association (BARVIDA) for the 4th time.
Mohammed Shahidul Islam has been elected uncontested the secretary-general of the association, a press release said on Tuesday.
The elected 25 EC members among themselves on Monday evening elected the office bearers of the association for the next 2 years.
Aslam Serniabath, Reaz Rahman and Md Gias Uddin Chowdhury have been elected the Vice President 1, Vice President 2 and the Vice President 3 of the organization.
Earlier the biennial election of BARVIDA was held on 18 June 2022 where 25 candidates out of 62 were elected by 639 voters.
In the Post of Vice President 1, Md Aslam Serniabath was elected contesting with Abu Hossain Bhuiyan (Ranu) and Alhaj Jafar Ahmed.
For the Vice President 3 post Md Gias Uddin Chowdhury was elected contesting with Mohd Saiful Islam (Somrat).
BARVIDA Chairman (election board 2022-2024) Md Selim Hossen announced the result.
BARVIDA Administrator Sadeq Ahmed, Tania Islam and Md Aminul Islam, members of the election board were also present.
