The new members of the executive committee for the 2022-24 period of e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) have been announced after the results of its recent election came out.
Out of the total 31 candidates, 9 panel members have been elected.
The election was held on Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Sayeedana Community Centre in the city’s Dhanmondi area with the participation of 76 per cent of voters.
The winning Panel members are— incumbent President Shomi Kaiser, Abdul Wahed Tomal, Shahriar Hasan, Ambareen Reza, Nasima Akhter, Asif Ahnaf, Saidur Rahman and Sahab Uddin Shipon.
According to the announced schedule, the election for the post of top official will be held on June 20. The final results will be announced on June 26, and on July 2, 2022, responsibilities will be handed over to the newly elected executive council.
On March 28, the election schedule was announced and 36 aspirants submitted nomination papers, but five candidates withdrew their candidature.
