Agromukam BD Ltd has launched its full stack 360 degree agribusiness-based e-commerce marketplace “Agromukam” which enables farmers to directly access the market and other agribusinesses.

The platform strongly supports B2B (Business to Business), F2B (Farmer to Business), B2C (Business to Customer), F2C (Farmer to Customer) and F2G (Farmer to Government) transactions, said a press release.

It has secured an investment of one crore taka from Midland Bank Ltd (MDB) as MDB Startup Loan at an agreement signing ceremony on Thursday.

Md Ahsan-uz Zaman, managing director and CEO of MDB, and Touhidul Alam Zenith, chairman of Agromukam BD Ltd, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.

With this fund, Agromukam BD Ltd shall support augmentation of the existing technology infrastructure and accelerate its innovative and digital regional operation to move closer towards the farmers and integrate them with the power of smart and digital Bangladesh.

Agromukam promises to spread its footprint in every district, upazila and union of Bangladesh to serve agribusiness stakeholders at its best -- as the only full-stack e-commerce marketplace in Bangladesh that connects customers and businesses.

The fund shall also enable Agromukam BD Ltd’s Phygital (Physical + Digital) business model to bring seed, pesticides, fertiliser, animal feed, veterinary medicine and supplement companies etc in a single digital marketplace, thus transforming the conventional trading business into a much more convenient and scalable business model with focus on the last mile delivery at farmer’s door step, according to the release.

"Agromukam has developed an innovative e-commerce marketplace app that allows farmers to purchase directly from agri-input companies enabling data-led advisory services," said Touhidul Alam Zenith, chairman of Agromukam BD Ltd.

“Our platform also allows farmers and agribusiness stakeholders to collaborate under one roof,” he added.

Through the app, farmers can also sell their agri-product, which can be directly procured by agribusinesses.

“Agromukam BD Ltd is digitising the forward and backward linkage of the entire agricultural supply chain ecosystem by creating an efficient and effective yet simple digital purchase and sales model,” said Iftekharul Islam, managing director of Agromukam.
