Chargé d'Affaires Jan Rolf-Janowski of Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Dhaka has visited the manufacturing plant of AMANN Bangladesh Ltd – one of the sister concerns of AMANN Group, Germany – in Mawna area of Gazipur.
Country Managing Director of AMANN Bangladesh Limited and Director of Bangladesh German Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BGCCI) Md Rokonuzzaman, FCA welcomed Janowski to the plant on Monday.
He and his plant team accompanied Janowski in a guided tour to the entire plant, briefed him about the journey of AMANN in Bangladesh, and shared the sustainability initiatives of the company, read a press release.
The Chargé d'Affaires Janowski inaugurated the first ever Shade Gallery of AMANN Bangladesh. Later, he joined the tree plantation event, and planted a “Negeshor” tree in the plant premises.
Since 1854, AMANN has been one of the leading international manufacturers of high-quality sewing threads, embroidery threads and Smart Yarns. In Bangladesh, AMANN set up a joint venture with Standard Group [one of the largest apparel manufacturers in Bangladesh] in 2013.
Chargé d'Affaires Janowski expressed his appreciation to Rokonuzzaman for hosting the visit and briefly touched upon areas for development and cooperation that could strengthen the ease of doing business for the German companies in Bangladesh.
During the visit, the Co-Chairman of the Company and the Deputy Managing Director of Standard Group Hasnat Mosharraf was also present, along with all the Senior Leadership Team members of AMANN Bangladesh Ltd.
