ICAB, ICB sign MoU on DVS

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) and the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) was signed on Monday at CA Bhaban in Dhaka.

This MoU aims to provide access to the Document Verification System (DVS) of the ICB to verify audited financial statements of different entities. This collaboration with ICB would bring financial discipline to the country, reports BSS.

ICAB President Mohammed Forkan Uddin, Vice President MBM Lutful Hadee, Vice President Maria Howlader, Vice President Md Johirul Islam, former president and council member Kamrul Abedin, Council Members NKA Mobin, Fouzia Haque, Md Yasin Miah and CEO Shubhashish Bose also spoke at the function.

ICB Managing Director Md Abul Hossain and ICAB CEO Shubhashish Bose signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides. Senior officials of ICB and ICAB, including COO Mahbub Ahmed Siddique, were present at the function.

Under this MoU, ICAB will provide necessary assistance in verifying the authenticity of the audited financial reports filed with ICB.

The ICB will use this Document Verification System (DVS) to check whether the audit report and audited financial statements of Mutual Trust Fund & other companies are certified by ICAB's CoP Holder Chartered Accountants.
