IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Doreen Hotels & Resorts Ltd to open Crowne Plaza’s Dhaka branch in Gulshan by the end of 2022.
IHG currently has branches in Dhaka- InterContinental and Holiday Inn, both of which are located in the old business district of the city, said a press release received on Saturday.
Crowne Plaza in Gulshan will become IHG’s third hotel to open in the city and will further strengthen the company’s business.
The hotel will be spread over two sites - the first is in the mixed-use Tower block with 119 rooms, and the second Tower is in close proximity featuring 30 suites with independent facilities.
In addition to well-equipped and spacious rooms, Crowne Plaza, Gulshan, will offer an array of facilities including an all-day-dining restaurant, three speciality restaurants, lounges, outdoor pools and gymnasiums for guests to unwind and relax.
The hotel will feature a banquet hall and two meeting rooms for MICE requirements.
