Managing Director of Corona International M Maksud has been elected as the president of Bangladesh-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BGCCI) for 2023-2025 tenure.
He was elected in the 21st AGM of BGCCI on Sunday, read a press release.
The newly elected other office bearers are – Managing Director of Hohenstein Laboratories Bangladesh Ltd Dr Md Kamruzzaman and Chairman & CEO of Dawn Trading International Mohammad Ershad Hussain as senior vice presidents.
Managing Director of Robert Bosch (Bangladesh) Ltd Navaneetha Krishnan and Managing Director of Weber Power Solutions Ltd Md Farooque Khan got elected as vice presidents, while Director of Globe Forwarding & Freight Ltd Adnan Md Iqbal got elected as the treasurer.
Speaking at the event, Maksud expressed his commitment to upholding the chamber's esteemed reputation and working closely with stakeholders, including the embassy, to further enhance bilateral relations and seize new opportunities for trade and investment.
He added that the event proved to be a significant milestone for the chamber, showcasing the continued dedication and commitment of its members towards fostering bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Bangladesh and Germany.
German mission to Bangladesh Chargé d'affaires Jan Janowski, business leaders and BGCCI members were also present there.
