Mercantile Bank reviews North Bengal Region performance

Mercantile Bank PLC held its “Half-Yearly Performance Review Meeting-2024” for the North Bengal region at Hotel Momo Inn in Bogura on Saturday.

The meeting brought together branch heads and in-charges from 16 branches and eight sub-branches across the zone.

The bank’s Managing Director Md Quamrul Islam Chowdhury graced the occasion as the chief guest, according to a press release.

Special guests included Mati Ul Hasan, AMD and CRO, Md Mahmood Alam Chowdhury, DMD and COO, and Tapash Chandra Paul, CFO. The meeting was presided over by Md Motiar Rahman, head of North Bengal Zone.

In his address, the managing director emphasised the importance of prioritising financing for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and agriculture.

He also urged participants to focus on growing the bank's export-import business and remittance collection.
