The Mirpur Furniture Festival 2024 is set to commence from Monday. Following the success of last year's Mirpur Furniture Eid Festival 2023, the Mirpur Furniture Festival 2024 is poised to continue the tradition.
All furniture showrooms, from Begum Rokeya Sarani to Mirpur 10 in Dhaka, will display products in their respective showrooms. The festival will be held until the night before Eid-ul-Azha, according to a press release.
The inaugural ceremony of this furniture festival will be attended by Salahuddin Mahmud Zahid, the member of parliament from Manikganj-1 constituency, and the president of Begum Rokeya Sarani Business Cooperative Society.
Special guests at the event will include KM Akhtaruzzaman, president, BFIA, and director, FBCCI; Selim H Rahman, president, Bangladesh Furniture Industry Owners Association; Mohammad Elias Sarkar, secretary general, Bangladesh Furniture Industry Owners Association; and A Karim Majumdar, organizational editor, Bangladesh Furniture Industry Owners Association.
More than 100 establishments are participating in this festival and will display their products in their respective showrooms. The fair will remain open daily from 10am to 8pm. Customers making purchases worth over Tk 20,000 will receive a scratch card, which includes numerous prizes.
The main objective of this festival is to revive the familiarity of the furniture market established by Begum Rokeya Sarani nationwide.
