Considering Bangladesh as one of the fast-growing markets in South Asia, global voice business giant Mitel along with local partner AK Khan Telecom Limited (AKTL) wants to establish a stronghold in the local markets with its thousands of products.
A five members team of the Canadian company from Dubai’s regional office is visiting the country right now to uphold their products and services before their partner in Bangladesh Symposium 2023 held at Lakeshore Hotel in the capital on Wednesday night.
In the specialized seminar, Asif Khan, Mitel channel director (Middle East, Africa, and South Asia), said customer choose Mitel as it has the best and deep understanding of the voice business market, have a solution for 45 to million people, and the secure nature of their services with nominal expenses are the reasons.
"Mitel is the only company in the world that got global recognition in three aspects -- united communications (UC), United Communication as a Communication (UCaaS), and contact centre," he added.
The channel director also presented examples of Kenya election and many other larger hotel chains around the world who are receiving their services.
He also mentioned that they have an agreement with Huawei that will redirect their customer to Mitel for voice solutions as well.
Replying to a question he said that Mitel wants to contribute to management system development in the security, banking, and hospitality sectors.
Moderator of the program also the Head of Business Operation of AKTL Mohammad Shahred Hasan told the Business Post that these three sectors are not the only sectors they are looking to contribute in.
"These are the sectors Mitel recognized globally for their solutions. Besides, high-quality solutions will also be provided in education, health care, pharmaceuticals, and other sectors as well," he added.
Majdi Albarahmeh, regional manager (Middle East, Africa, and Turkey) showed how their solutions, devices including IP phones, and contact center apps are providing services to their customers.
In the welcome speech, the managing director of AKTL, Abul Kashem Khan said they will now refocus on expanding their services across the country to provide quality services to the customers.
Mitel and AKTL honoured 14 of their clients in Bangladesh with a customer appreciation crest during the symposium.
