NCC Bank cardholders will soon enjoy charge-free facilities from cash withdrawal in any ATM across the country.
NCC Bank Managing Director & CEO Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid made the remark at a press conference after celebrating 30th anniversary of the bank on Wednesday, read a press release.
“Bank has focused on innovative technology for application-based products to build up an automated banking system. Bank has collected Tk 214 crore from Islamic Banking activities which were started only five months ago,” he said.
“We have introduced various features for cardholders such as reward privilege points & insurance facilities etc. We will start an independent Women Banking Unit very soon to develop women entrepreneurship in our country.”
He added, “NCC Bank is now focusing more on sustainable finance & green finance along with retail business. Moreover, we have launched “Financial Literacy Corner” in all of our branches for underprivileged & marginal people.”
The bank’s Chairman Md Abul Bashar inaugurated the anniversary programme.
NCC Bank Vice-Chairman Sohela Hossain, Director & Past Vice-Chairman ASM Mainuddin Monem, Past Chairman & Chairman of the Risk Management Committee Alhaj Md Nurun Newaz, Additional Managing Director M Shamsul Arefin, Deputy Managing Directors Rafat Ullah Khan, Md Mahbub Alam, M Asheq Rahman & Md Zakir Anam, SEVP & CIO Mohammed Anisur Rahman, SEVP & CFO Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, SEVP & Company Secretary Md Monirul Alam, Head of Marketing & Branches Division Mohammad Ridwanul Hoque and Head of Human Resources Division Syed Hasnain Mamun also were present at the programme.
Besides, Past Chairman & Chairman of the Executive Committee SM Abu Mohsin and Director & Past Vice-Chairman Khairul Alam Chaklader were present virtually.
The NCC Bank made a profit of Tk715 crore in 2022 as per target, despite challenges of global economic slowdown and inflation in the domestic economy.
The bank started its journey on May 17, 1993, as national Credit and Commerce or NCC Bank. In its inception, the bank had 16 branches and now it has 125 full branches and 6 sub-branches.
