NRB Bank signs LTFF agreement with BB

NRB Bank Ltd (NRBBL), as a participant in the Bangladesh Bank-Long Term Financing Facility (BB-LTFF), has signed a Participating Agreement (PA) with the central bank.

BB Director of Financial Sector Support and Strategic Planning Department Liza Fahmida and of NRB Bank Managing Director and CEO (CC) Md Omar Faruk Khan signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisation at the central bank’s headquarters in Motijheel, Dhaka on Tuesday.

BB-LTFF would be funded by the Bangladesh Bank to continue providing long term financing for private sector firms in US dollars, mainly the export-oriented manufacturing (small, medium and large) firms with a view to contributing to the national economy with increased outputs, job creation and economic growth of the country, according to a press release.

BB Deputy Governor Dr Md Habibur Rahman, Executive Directors Debdulal Roy and Husne Ara Shikha, FSSSPD Additional Director Firoz Mahmud Islam and NRB Bank Deputy Managing Director Md Shakir Amin Chowdhury, were also present at the signing event.
