Social Islami Bank PLC recently won two awards — "Remittance Company of the Year- Bangladesh" and "Senior Citizen Product Initiative of the Year- Bangladesh."
The awards were conferred by The Asian Banking and Finance, a renowned Singapore-based financial magazine, according to a press release.
Zafar Alam, the managing director and CEO of Social Islami Bank, received the awards at a programme organised by Asian Banking & Finance at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore on July 4.
Mohammad Habibur Rahman, deputy managing director of the bank, was also present at the event.
Social Islami Bank also secured second position again in foreign remittance earnings in the just concluded fiscal year of 2023-24.
