UITS holds farewell ceremony for EEE'37

The farewell ceremony of the 37th batch of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering's (EEE) University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) was held on campus at the PHP Square in Dhaka on Sunday.

The ceremony, organised by the EEE department and IEEE Club, was chaired by the Head (acting) of the EEE Department Abedul Hadi, while Vice-Chancellor Professor Md Abu Hashan Bhuiyan was the event's chief guest, according to a press release.

Prof Hashan Bhuiyan called upon the students to uphold the excellent reputation of UITS and said, "You have spent four years at a university who's Founder and Board of Trustees Chairman is an Ekushey Padak-recipient and a social reformer and educationist Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman. UITS's sole objective is to create true human beings."

The ceremony was also addressed by UITS Treasurer Prof Siraj Uddin Ahmed, Advisor to the Board of Trustees Professor K M Saiful Islam Khan, Faculty of Science and Engineering Dean Prof Md Ashraful Islam, University Proctor Md Yasin Ali and others, adds the release.

The EEE department students conducted the ceremony attended by the EEE faculties and other staff. The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and a colourful cultural programme.
