ULAB hosts programme on current macroeconomic issue

ULAB's Executive MBA programme has recently hosted a group project showcase aiming at exploring current macroeconomic issues and contributing to finding solutions to Bangladesh's urgent concerns.

MBA and EMBA students from the macroeconomics course on Friday showcased their projects with a poster presentation entitled "Import Substitution Industrialization Project Plan," read a press release.

The department also conducted a group project presentation for graduate business students enrolled in a microeconomics course entitled "The Impact of Microeconomics Principles on Real Life and the Business Environment," which was based on extensive fieldwork and demonstrated the students' diligent efforts and unwavering commitment.

Adjunct Professor Khozaima Fatehali Ziauddin was the esteemed guest of honour.

The event was led by the students’ group projects supervisor, Assistant Professor and Director of the EMBA program Dr Shamsuddin Ahamad.

Assistant Professor and Director of the MBA Program Asif Uddin Ahmed, graced the occasion as Chief Guest, and Professor Khozaima Fatehali Ziauddin, Senior Lecturer Shawkat Tanveer Rahman, Tazrian Shainam Shahid, and CEO of BYEAH, Md Rashed Mamun, were the special guests at the event.

On March 22, ULAB’s BBA programme also held a project showcase session on micro and macroeconomics courses.

Students from the macroeconomics course presented their poster entitled "Unemployment after Graduation and Creating Employment Opportunity," as well as group video projects on "Scarcity, Choice, Opportunity Cost, and Responsible Consumption."
