United Power Generation and Distribution Company Limited (UPGDCL) has been recognised with the prestigious Gold Award by the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) for exemplary corporate governance, transparency, and accountability in overall management.
UPGDCL received the accolade in the “Fuel and Power” category during the ICSB’s 2023 awards ceremony held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel on Saturday evening, read a press release.
The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including Dr Md Khairuzzaman Mozumder, secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Md Selim Uddin, secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, and Md Abdur Rahman Khan, secretary of the Internal Resources Division and chairman of the National Board of Revenue, who graced the occasion as special guests.
This award highlights UPGDCL’s continued dedication to maintaining high standards of governance and reinforces ICSB’s commitment to promoting transparency and accountability within the corporate sector.
