Uttara Bank on Sunday gifted a bus to the teachers of Dhaka University. Uttara Bank Chairman Azharul Islam handed over the key of the bus to the DU Vice Chancellor Prof ASM Maksud Kamal.
Prof Maksud Kamal said, "We hope that other banks and economic institutions including Uttara Bank will always help to advance the university."
"Dhaka University is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in the country. Everyone should participate in the development of the university," Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam said.
Uttara Bank Chairman Azaharul Islam said that our help and cooperation will continue to advance Dhaka University.
DU Pro VC (Administration) Prof Muhammad Samad, Pro VC (Education) Prof Sitesh Chandra Bachar, Treasure Prof Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, the President of Dhaka University Teachers' Association (Duta) Prof Nizamul Haque Bhuiyan and Executive Director of Uttara Bank Md Robiul Hossen, among others were present at the event.
