West End High School Alumni Association's advisory committee get new chairman

West End High School Alumni Association has got a new executive committee and an advisory committee on Saturday.

Dr Khan Abul Kalam Azad was elected as the president of the association, while Zulfikar Ali Modu was elected its general secretary.

Meanwhile, Shahjalal Islami Bank Chairman Mohammed Younus was made the chairman of the advisory committee of the West End High School Alumni Association.

The new executive committee and the advisory committee were formed after an annual general meeting (AGM) of the West End High School Alumni Association held at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) auditorium in Dhaka on Saturday.

Mohammed Younus was born in a respectable Muslim family in Munshiganj District in 1958.

Renowned industrialist and businessman Younus has a long and creditable business experience of more than three decades and is engaged in papers, IT, insurance, Merchant bank, agro sector, fabrics and cold storage trade industry.

He is the managing director of Sobhan Ice and Cold Storage Ltd, Younus Cold Storage Ltd, Ananta Paper Mills Ltd, Younus Paper Mills Ltd, Younus Fine Paper Mills Ltd, Younus Spinning Mills Ltd, Sharif Cold Storage Ltd, Younus Newsprint Mills Ltd, and Younus Offset Paper Mills Ltd.

Besides these, he also engaged in the field of education. He is a member of the board of trustees of Fareast International University and Word Bridge School. He is also the managing director of Galaxy Flying Academy Ltd.

Younus engaged in sports, and social and cultural organisations for a long time. He is the senior vice president of the Bangladesh Volleyball Federation and a lifetime member of Kurmitola Golf Club.
