Youth Start-up Competition 2022 held a competition for the best business ideas from entrepreneurs in Cox's Bazar and awarded the three best ideas on Monday.
Youth Start-up Competition 2022 was Organised by Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Support (YES) Activity for Cox’s Bazar and supported by USAID, aiming to fulfil the entrepreneurship aspirations of young entrepreneurs in Cox’s Bazar, read a press release.
Among hundreds of entries from Cox's Bazar, the 10 best business ideas were presented during the competition from which the three best entrepreneurs were selected as winners.
As an appreciation towards the efforts of the youths in Cox’s Bazar, USAID’s YES Activity organized this event. The three winners of the start-up competition were awarded crests, certificates and prize money, the release added.
The winners of the event are Nazma Akter (Palongki Konna), Md Sakir Alam (Plastic Bank), and Jannatul Ferdous Sathi (Sathi Fashion Tailors & Training Center).
The judges were Relief International USAID’s YES Activity Chief of Party Shahana Sharmin, mPower Social Director of Innovation Zaki Haider, and CCDB Monitoring and Evaluation Head of Planning Imran Kibria.
Department of Youth Development Deputy Director Md Abdus Salam Sikder was the chief guest of the event which was moderated by Imtiaz Alam Tanim from mPower Social. Adnan Mehedee Khan, K M Ragibul Haque and Ikbal Hossain were responsible for the overall coordination of the event.
