Flight operations at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) will remain halted for three hours from May 6 to 8 due to maintenance work on the runway.
"As part of runway management, maintenance work will be conducted on the centre lights and markings on the runway, and its use will be temporarily suspended from 12am to 3am for three days starting on Monday. All airlines and organisations have been duly notified," said HSIA Executive Director Group Captain Muhammed Kamrul Islam on Sunday.
Kamrul also said that airlines have been requested to notify passengers about any changes to their flight schedules.
"The airlines have already been asked to coordinate their flight operations and notify passengers about their individual flights in advance. The matter has been informed to the other government organisations that provide services at the airport for coordination,” he added.
