Biman starts direct hajj flights from Chattogram airport

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has started operating dedicated hajj flights from Hazrat Shah Amanat International Airport for Madina and Jeddah.

Biman's first Hajj flight BG-3211 from Chattogram left for Medina with 417 pilgrims at 1:45pm on Wednesday.

The flight will reach Medina at 5:30pm local time, said a press release.

The airlines will operate a total of 65 dedicated flights this year, including 9 flights on Chattogram-Jeddah route and 2 flights on Chattogram-Medina route.

Chattogram Airport Director Farhad Hossain Khan was present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony.

The guests exchanged greetings with the pilgrims at the holding lounge of Shah Amanat International Airport. Prayers were offered for the pilgrims' welfare. End of the prayers pilgrims were sent off for Medina.
