Biman Bangladesh Airlines will start commercial flights on the Dhaka-Toronto-Dhaka route from Wednesday.
The BG305 flight is scheduled to start its journey from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to Toronto at 3:30am, a Biman press release said on Tuesday.
The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft is being used to operate flights on the route, said the release, adding that the flight will make a one-hour technical landing in Turkey’s Istanbul on its way from Dhaka. However, the return flight will land directly in Dhaka.
Initially, the flight will be operated on the Dhaka-Toronto-Dhaka route twice a week.

Biman’s BG305 flight will fly from Dhaka to Toronto every Wednesday at 3:30am, reaching its destination at 1:55pm local time after making a stop at Istanbul for fuel. On the same day, the return flight BG306 from Toronto will depart for Dhaka at 7:30pm local time, flying non-stop to reach the destination at 9:30pm local time.
Meanwhile, BG305 will fly from Dhaka to Toronto every Sunday at 3:00am, reaching its destination at 1:25pm local time after making a stop at Istanbul for fuel. On the same day, the return flight from Toronto will depart for Dhaka at 9:00pm local time, flying non-stop to reach the destination at 11:00pm local time.
