Shah Amanat International Airport has set up breastfeeding corners and separate prayer spaces for men and women. This service programme is being initiated under the guidance of the esteemed industrial conglomerate PHP Family.
PHP Family Chairman Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman, a recipient of the Ekushey Padak for social services, inaugurated the programme as its chief guest in Chattogram on Sunday. The ceremony was organised by Shah Amanat International Airport authorities.
Special guests included Air Commodore AFM Atiquzzaman, member (Operations and Planning) of the Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh.
On the occasion, Mohammed Akther Parvez, director of PHP Family, and Shah Amanat International Airport Director Group Captain Taslim Ahmed were also present.
Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman expressed gratitude and thanked the airport authorities for setting up prayer rooms and a breastfeeding corner, including the wudu area, before the starting of Hajj flights from Monday.
