Passenger-carrying car hits Biman aircraft at Dhaka airport

A car carrying US-Bangla Airlines passengers hit an aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines that was parked at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Saturday night.

According to officials at the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), a Boeing 737 that was on the ground got damaged in the collision. It was taken to the hangar after the incident.

The event took place around 10:00pm.

Biman's Public Relations Officer Tahera Khandaker on Monday said that they have applied to the civil aviation authorities for CCTV footage to find out the reason behind the incident.

Meanwhile, they are also contacting Boeing, which will conduct a manual assessment to figure out what kind of damage was done to the aircraft in the collision.
