Biman to sack two over airliner collision

The Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Thursday decided to fire two engineers – Md Mainul Islam and Md Salim Hossain Khan – over a collision of two airliners.

Back in April 10, 2022, a collision between Boeing 777-300 ER (S2-AHN) and Boeing 737-800 (S2-AFL) caused significant damage to both the planes.

After probing the incident and subsequent departmental action, the authorities found the abovementioned engineers responsible.

Considering the gravity of the incident, Biman management decided to fire the duo in line with the airlines service regulation.
