Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi on Sunday urged everyone to be aware against fraud in the e-commerce sector, because the incidents of scam have gone up along with the expansion of this industry.
He made the call while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Central Complaint Management System (CCMS) at the commerce ministry conference room in Dhaka.
Tipu hoped that the launching of CCMS will benefit the e-commerce industry. “We have launched the platform to ensure safe purchasing practices and to help resolve any claims of irregularities.”
The minister said the platform will act as a bridge among consumers, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
State minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak was present at the event as the special guest.
