Bangladesh Business Summit to promote products globally: FBCCI

The Bangladesh Business Summit will promote local products to the world, and the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industries (FBCCI) will utilise this event to showcase the country’s potential sectors and business environment to global investors.

FBCCI president Md Jashim Uddin made the remark during a courtesy meeting with Ambassador of Thailand to Bangladesh Makawadee Sumitmor at the FBCCI office on Tuesday, read a press release.

Jashim Uddin added, “Bangladesh is now going for high-tech manufacturing. Thailand has already gained a good reputation in that sector, particularly in automobiles. So, both countries could work together through joint ventures.

“It could be a good opportunity for Thai investors to invest in Bangladesh. Both Bangladesh and Thailand can also work together in agriculture.”

The bilateral relationship between Bangladesh and Thailand is remarkable and the cooperation between the two countries is deepening day by day.

Jashim Uddin shed light on some of the important aspects of the event including its objective to showcase the incredible success story of the New Bangladesh emerging as the Trade and Investment Hub of Asia.

He invited Business personnel and government officials of Thailand to attend the Bangladesh Business Summit, which is scheduled to be held from March 11 to March 13 this year.

Ambassador of Thailand to Bangladesh Makawadee Sumitmor congratulated the FBCCI for organizing this mega event. The Thai Ambassador also praised the FBCCI president for his leadership, continuous hard work, and dedication.

Thai Ambassador Makawadee Sumitmor said, “Last year we celebrated the 50 years anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Thailand. The cooperation between the two countries is at a new height. We want to follow up on our cooperation with Bangladesh.

“Thailand is also looking for ways to work more collaboratively with Bangladesh. In this regard, a business delegation led by the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Thailand Sarun Charoensuwan will visit Bangladesh in March.”

FBCCI Senior Vice President Mostofa Azad Chowdhury Babu, Vice President MA Momen, Md Amin Helaly, Md Habib Ullah Dawn, Salahuddin Alamgir, former ambassador Mosud Mannan, Minister Counsellor & Deputy Head of the Mission of Thai Embassy Panom Thongprayoon, FBCCI Director MGR Nasir Majumder, Secretary General Mohammad Mahfuzul Hoque, and were present at the meeting among others.
