Bangladesh's gross domestic product (GDP) growth has climbed by 6.94 per cent in FY2020-2021 while per capita income increased to $2,591, according to the final estimation of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).
Planning Minister MA Mannan disclosed the information during a press conference after the meeting of Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) held at NEC conference room in Dhaka on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the total gross domestic product (GDP) for FY2020-21 has been calculated at $416 billion, said the minister.
As per the provisional estimation of BBS, the GDP size was $411 billion, the GDP growth was 5.43 per cent and the per capita income was $2,554 for FY2020-21.
The GDP and per capita income have been estimated as per the base year 2015-16, according to the BBS.
