The 28th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited has approved a 12 per cent cash dividend and a 3 per cent stock dividend for the year 2022.
The decision came from the Board of Directors of the Bank held on Wednesday. Chairman of the board Salim Rahman presided over the virtual meeting.
Vice Chairman of the Board Abu Naser Mohammad Yeahea, Executive Committee Chairman Abdus Samad Labu, Executive Committee Vice Chairman Md Abdus Salam, Risk Management Committee Chairman Liakat Ali Chowdhury, Board Audit Committee Chairman Mahbubul Alam, Members Abdul Malek Mollah, Hafez Md Enayetullah, Ahamedul Hoque, Engr Kh Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Md Anowar Hossain, Nasir Uddin, Md Rafiqul Islam, Anowar Hossain, Mahbub Ahmed, Md Abdul Hamid Miah, Managing Director and CEO Farman R Chowdhury, and a large number of Shareholders were present in the meeting.
Company Secretary Mohammed Nizam Uddin Bhuiyan proposed the agenda in the meeting.
The bank achieved growth of 16.40 per cent in deposits and 20.51 per cent in investment in 2022 compared to 2021. Earnings per share (EPS) of the Bank stood at Tk1.90 in 2022.
The House considered and adopted the directors' report, and statement of accounts for the year 2022 along with the auditors' report and also appointed the auditors of the Company for the term until the next AGM.
