Bank operations in the evening will remain closed until further notice in order to conserve electricity, per a directive from the Bangladesh Bank.
The directive was released by the central bank's Banking Regulations and Policy Department on Tuesday.
According to the circular, the decision was made in light of the adjustments made by the government in office schedule for power saving.
