Two state-owned banks get new MDs

The government has appointed new managing directors (MDs) to the state-owned Bangladesh Krishi Bank and Palli Sanchay Bank.

In a circular, Finance Ministry’s Bank and Financial Institution Division said Md Abdul Jabbar has been made the managing director of Bangladesh Krishi Bank while Md Zaminur Rahman has been appointed as the managing director of Palli Sanchay Bank.

The appointment of Md Abdul Jabbar will come into effect on November 26 while Md Zaminur Rahman will have to join the office on December 1, 2022.

Their tenure will continue until further notice, it said.
