BEZA inks land lease deals with 6 firms

Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) on Wednesday signed land lease agreements with six organisations.

The organizations are Linde Bangladesh Limited, Master Rack & Furniture, Sanjana Fabrics Limited, OMC Limited, SFL Hotel & Resort Limited and Kinbo Manufacturing Industries Limited.

BEZA Executive Member (Investment Development) Md Mozibor Rahman, Managing Director of the Linde Bangladesh Limited Bibhabasu Sengupta, Proprietor of Master Rack & Furniture Al Mamun, Managing Director of the Sanjana Fabrics Limited Md Sohrab Hossain, Director of the OMC Limited Rejwan Mannan, Managing Director of the SFL Hotel & Resort Limited Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat and Managing Director of the Kinbo Manufacturing Industries Limited Md Naveed Ahmed were present, said a press release.

BEZA Executive Chairman Sheikh Yusuf Harun was present on the occasion.

According to BEZA, Linde Bangladesh Limited will set up an Oxygen Manufacturing plant on five acres of land at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar (BSMSN). The company will invest about US$ 17 million in setting up the industry.

Master Rack & Furniture is going to set up rack and other furniture manufacturing industries on three acres of land at the BSMSN. The company will invest about US$7 million in setting up the industry and employment opportunities will be for about 800 people.

Sanjana Fabrics Limited will build a hotel and resort on three acres of land at Sabrang Tourism Park with an investment of $20 million.

OMC Limited will develop a hotel and resort on two acres of land at Sabrang Tourism Park with an investment of $7 million and it will create employment opportunities for around 350 people.

SFL Hotel & Resort Limited will develop a hotel and resort at an investment of about $16 million on six acres of land at Sabrang Tourism Park. It will provide employment to around 1,000 people.

Kinbo Manufacturing Industries Limited will set up a Kitchen Appliances factory in Jamalpur Economic Zone on two acres of land with an investment of about $2 million.
