Biman reduces fare for Middle East-bound passengers

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has decided to cut the ticket prices for the Middle East-bound migrants on the occasion of the golden jubilee of the national flag carrier.

The new fare will come into effect from January 16 on the routes of Jeddah, Riyad, Dammam, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, a press release said on Tuesday.

It will be applicable for purchasing new tickets, subject to seat vacancies.

The one way ticket price on the Dhaka-Jeddah route in economy class has been reduced to Tk 64,820 from Tk 72,455, including tax, it said.

On the Dhaka-Riyad/Dammam route, the cost of the ticket will be Tk 63,123, which was Tk 70,758 earlier.

The maximum fare on Dhaka-Dubai route has been fixed at Tk 62,784. The one way ticket price was Tk 75,508.

The economy class airfare on Dhaka-Abu Dhabi route will be Tk 58,542 from Tk 67,025.

Airlines, including Biman, are charging sky-high fare, leaving the Middle East-bound passengers in deep trouble to reach their destinations.
