Cash use expected to reduce 75% in next 4yrs

The rate of cash usage is expected to reduce by 75 per cent in the next four years, said Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal in his budget speech.

AHM Mustafa Kamal on Thursday presented the proposed budget of Tk 7,61,785 crore after the cabinet approval for 2023-24 fiscal year.

In the budget speech, the finance minister said, “The government introduced universal Bangla QR. Other steps have also been taken to bring all merchants including small and marginal traders under digital payment to create cashless Bangladesh.”
