Poultry, fish, cattle feed import facilities extended

All tax facilities on feed used in poultry, fish and meat production have been extended in the proposed budget for the fiscal year 2023-24.

In this case, duty, VAT and tax benefits have been retained for the next fiscal year as the coverage is increasing.

In the budget proposal for the next fiscal year, Shrimp Hatchery Association of Bangladesh (SHAB) has been included in notification No 128/2020 regarding concessional facilities on import of materials used in poultry, dairy, fish production and some materials have also been included. These include artemia, seaweeds and other algae for use in dairy, poultry and hatchery and shrimp feed.

All import duties, advance tax, value added tax and total duty (if any) may be waived on fish, poultry and feed in those statutory regulatory orders.
