Experts on Saturday underscored the need for more involvement of the private sector to achieve Delta Plan 2100 in a sustainable way.
They also urged the government to strengthen the capacities of ministries and departments, and emphasised using modern technologies.
The speakers also called upon the authorities concerned to revise and update the plans every two to five years for sustainable development.
They came up with the observations at a seminar titled "Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100: Private Sector Involvement to achieve a Safe, Climate-Resilient and Prosperous Delta" organised by the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) at its auditorium in Dhaka.
State Minister for Planning Shamsul Alam, who attended the event as the chief guest, said there is a huge scope for the private sector for investment in the delta plan programmes.
