There is no alternative to integrated participation among tourism sector entrepreneurs and related entities to improve the industry’s service quality, Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FBCCI) President Md Jashim Uddin said on Saturday.
“Tourism is very promising sector of the country’s economy,” he said while speaking as the chief guest in the 3rd meeting of the FBCCI’s Standing Committee on Tourism Development (Inbound, Outbound, Domestic & Civil Aviation) at FBCCI.
“While there are some problems in this sector so we have to work more closely on these issues,” he added.
The meeting was presided over by the Committee Co-Chairman Jalal Uddin Tipu.
“To ensure the discipline and coordination of this potential sector, the participation of all government and private sectors who work in tourism is essential,” FBCCI Vice President Md Amin Helaly said,
Director-in-Charge of the Standing Committee on Tourism Development MGR Nasir Majumder said that tourism is always one of the priority sectors to the prime minister.
FBCCI Director Hafez Harun, Bijoy Kumar Kejriwal, Abu Hossain Bhuiyan (Ranu), Akkash Mahmood, former director Khandaker Ruhul Amin, Secretary General Mohammad Mahfuzul Hoque, co-chairmen and all members of the standing committee were also present in the meeting.
