The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) has said corruption, inadequate infrastructure, limited access to finance, and inefficient bureaucracy are the most problematic factors to do business in Bangladesh.
The think-tank found these factors in its survey report titled "Bangladesh Business Environment 2022: Findings from the Executive Opinion Survey" released on Sunday.
According to the report, 64.6 per cent of respondents complained about the high level of corruption as the major problematic factor while 44.6 per cent of respondents complained about inadequate infrastructure as the second most problematic factor to do business in Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, limited access to financing and an inefficient bureaucracy were termed as the third most problematic factors with 43.1 per cent of respondents complaining about each.
The CPD study team included Research Director Dr Khondaker Golam Moazzem, Programme Associates Jebunnesa, and Chowdhury Fariha.
