The US dollar is being sold by money exchange houses at Tk 99 to Tk 99.50 in the kerb market on Thursday.
Mostofa Hasan, an official of the Sugandha money exchange, said to The Business Post that they were selling one USD for Tk 99 to Tk 99.5 on Thursday and buying one USD at Tk 98.9 to Tk 99.
He added that the demand of USD has been growing further amid the Eid Holidays as people are rushing to travel abroad.

On Thursday, most of the banks sold USD to travellers at Tk 98.6 to Tk 98.8 per dollar. On the other hand, the inter-bank exchange rate stood at Tk 93.95 per dollar.
The forex reserve has slightly down to $39.7 billion on Thursday from $39.79 billion on Wednesday.
