Bangladesh’s exports jumped 30.86 per cent to $33.84 billion in July-February of the current 2021-22 fiscal year compared to the same period of the previous fiscal.

Through its monthly export summary on Wednesday, the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) said February’s export earnings rose to 34.54 per cent to $4.299 billion, compared to $3.19 billion over the same period of the previous fiscal.

The summary also showed that all sectors, except jute, had been performing well in the current fiscal year. Earnings from the jute sector dropped 7.34 per cent to $799 million, compared to $863 million over same period of the previous fiscal.

Besides, readymade garment sector lead the charts as usual with earnings of $27.5 billion, which was $21 billion in July-February of the previous fiscal year, posting a 30.73 per cent rise.
