Bangladesh’s export earnings in May posted a 23.24 per cent growth to $3.83 billion against $3.10 billion in the same period a year ago.
However, the country’s overall export earnings during the July-May period of the current fiscal year increased by 34.09 per cent to $47.17 billion, which was $35.18 billion in the same time of the previous fiscal year.

RMG sector, the largest contributor to the national exports, earned $38.52 billion during July-May period of FY22, up by 34.87 per cent, which was $28.56 billion in the same period of FY21.
Knitwear products posted a 36.61 per cent growth to $20.98 billion, while woven products earned $17.53 billion with a 32.85 per cent growth.
