The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) President Jasim Uddin has urged the government to activate Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) to ensure sustainable economic development and achieve the country's targeted goals in due time.

He made the remark while speaking at the seminar titled "The Role of PPP in Achieving Vision 2041" organised by the FBCCI at its auditorium on Saturday in Dhaka.

"Now we should implement the PPP activities to achieve our goals in due time. The process of releasing products from the ports should be easier, and shortcut roads should be made to save time," Jasim said.

He also highlighted the importance of ensuring tranparency in all fields, and build a skilled based society to compete with the international counterparts.

Private Industry and Investment Adviser to the prime minister Salman F Rahman attended the programme as the Chief Guest while State Minister for Planning Dr Shamsul Alam and PPPA CEO Muhammad Ibrahim were the special guests.
