Flower farmers of the district are expected to rake in about Tk one crore in the upcoming sales season, which begins with new year celebrations followed by Pahela Falgun, Valentine's Day and International Mother Language Day.

Flower shops in the district are full of flowers ahead of Pahela Falgun, Valentine's Day and International Mother Language Day.

General Secretary of Bogura Flower Traders Association Laxman Kumar Das expects that flowers worth Taka one crore will be sold in the district on these occasions.

There will be a huge demand for flowers in celebrating the two festivals and paying homage to International Mother Language Day. 

Youngsters have started flocking to flower shops on the occasion. Flower sales and purchases will increase from Tuesday morning due to Valentine's Day and Rituraj Basant. It will be continued until the evening, Saiful a flower seller said.

On the occasion of the Pahela Falgun and Valentine's Day, no one will miss expressing love and wishes by hand at least one flower to their loved ones. Eye-catching flowers of various colours will attract young people.

Flower traders of the district are expecting a large number of flowers to be sold on the upcoming International Mother Language Day.
