The history of pagri (wedding turban for men) is very old.
The prices of pagris sold in the Debidas Ghat area of Dhaka’s Lalbagh depend on their designs.
The prices range between Tk 700 and Tk 2,000 a dozen.
Pagri makers in Debidas Ghat remain very busy between October and December as weddings mostly take place during these months.
They say their businesses have not yet recovered from the Covid-19 fallout.
