Bangladesh Shipping Corporation, the lone state-owned oceangoing vessels management authority, has earned net profit of Tk 72.20 crore in the 2020-21 fiscal, which was Tk 30.55 crore more than the previous fiscal (2019-20).
This information was disclosed at a press conference on Tuesday at BSC Bhaban in Chattogram.
The conference was called on the occasion of 44th Annual General Meeting of BSC to be held on January 27.
BSC Managing Director Commodore Suman Mahmud Sabbir read out the information from a written statement in the press conference.
The board approved the audit report for 2020-21 and appointment of Audit firm for current year. It has also recommended to pay 12 per cent cash dividend from the net profit to the shareholders.
